  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 oz dark chocolate bar (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
  3. Using a stand mixer, cream the room-temperature butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in all the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Chill the dough for at least one hour before scooping large balls onto prepared sheets.
