  • 5 apples
  • 100 ml water
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 40 g sugar
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 50 g sugar
  • nut brittle for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and dice the apples. In a pot, combine the apple pieces with water, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon; cook for 10 minutes until tender. Let cool.
  2. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone, low-fat quark, and sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  3. In dessert glasses, layer half of the mascarpone mixture followed by half of the apple filling. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Just before serving, sprinkle with nut brittle.
