  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups water (for rice)
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Marinate in soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar for 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse jasmine rice under cold water. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to boil. Add rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until water is absorbed.

  5. Mix cornstarch with water; slowly add to broth while stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).
