Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs flank steak (or skirt steak)
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Corn or flour tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • Diced onion (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Let the grilled steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
  5. Warm tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side. Fill each tortilla with sliced steak and top with diced onions and cilantro. Serve with lime wedges.
