Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed)
  • 100g dark chocolate (chopped or in chip form)
  • 100g almond paste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into four triangles per sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix the chopped dark chocolate and almond paste until well combined.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the filling near the wide end of each pastry triangle and roll towards the point to form crescent shapes.
  5. Arrange the rolled croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring space between them.
  6. Whisk together the egg and milk for the egg wash and brush it over the tops of the croissants.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
