  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1¼ cups light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1¾ cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 16 oz chocolate melting wafers (for decoration)
  • Assorted special occasion sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop cookie dough onto prepared sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for about 12 minutes or until edges are golden; centers should remain soft.
  9. Cool slightly before dipping half of each cookie into melted chocolate and decorating with sprinkles.
