  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray an 8 ½ x 4 ½-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  7. Brush with melted butter and coat with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
