  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour or gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup red apple vinegar or extra beef stock
  • 2 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the roast in a heavy-duty skillet until browned on all sides.
