  • 200g fettuccine or linguine
  • 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200ml heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Garlic toast

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat butter or olive oil over medium heat. Season and sauté the shrimp until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and return the shrimp to the skillet. Mix gently.
  6. Serve with steamed broccoli and garlic toast for an enhanced dining experience.
