  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup hot coffee
  • 2 cups shredded phyllo dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup pistachio cream
  • 4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate bar
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add egg, vanilla extract, milk, and vegetable oil; mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually stir in hot coffee until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. For the pistachio filling, cook shredded phyllo dough with butter in a pan over medium heat until golden brown. Mix in pistachio cream.
  6. For the chocolate layer, melt chopped chocolate with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  7. Once the cake has cooled slightly, spread the pistachio mixture on top and pour the chocolate layer over it.
