  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp avocado oil (or coconut oil)
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice each date open and remove pits if present. Place sliced dates on the lined sheet with the slit side facing up.
  2. Gently smash each date using the bottom of a glass cup to help them stick together.
  3. Spread a layer of creamy peanut butter over each smashed date. For easy spreading, heat the peanut butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and avocado oil. Heat in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over each peanut butter-covered date and smooth it out evenly with a spatula.
  6. Sprinkle chopped peanuts and flaky sea salt on top before refrigerating for at least 30 minutes until set.
