  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs (or chicken breasts)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ cup harissa (homemade or store-bought)
  • 5 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ¼ cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken dry, then season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together harissa, garlic, lemon juice, and honey until well combined.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Arrange marinated chicken on the baking sheet and brush with leftover marinade.
  6. Bake for 13-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest covered for 10 minutes before serving.
