Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 stalks scallions (minced)
  • 1 Korean red pepper (sliced)
  • 1 serrano pepper (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • Water and salt for boiling
  • 2 tablespoon white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Soft boil the eggs by bringing water with salt and vinegar to a boil. Carefully lower in the eggs and simmer for 6-7 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs and place them in an ice bath for about 10 minutes before peeling.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, honey, diced onion, minced garlic, scallions, sliced peppers, and sesame seeds.
  4. Place peeled eggs in an airtight container and pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or preferably overnight.
  5. Serve over steamed rice or enjoy as a snack.
