  • 30 g fresh yeast (or 10 g active dry yeast or instant yeast)
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 540 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g butter (room temperature)
  • 250 g blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 30 g cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 tsp blueberry jam (reserved from the filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120 g powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by warming milk and dissolving yeast. Combine with sugar, flour, eggs, salt, and butter until smooth.
  2. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  3. Make the blueberry filling by simmering blueberries with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and cornstarch until thickened.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread blueberry filling over it, then roll into a log and cut into rolls.
  5. Allow rolls to rise again for 45 minutes before baking at 375°F (190°C) for 21–22 minutes.
  6. Mix cream cheese with reserved blueberry jam and powdered sugar for the glaze; drizzle over cooled rolls.
