  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (room temperature)
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon melted salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place butter in each cup of a popover pan. Heat until melted.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together milk and eggs until frothy. Add melted butter, vanilla extract, flour, and salt; mix gently.
  3. Remove the hot pan from the oven, swirl melted butter in each cup, fill with batter about three-quarters full, and add cream cheese cubes.
  4. Bake at 450°F for 20 minutes; lower to 350°F (175°C) for an additional 15-18 minutes until golden.
