  • 2 racks of beef spare ribs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup fajita seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 38 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown mustard

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, fajita seasoning, and paprika in a mixing bowl. Rub the mixture on both sides of the spare ribs.
  2. Place ribs on a sheet pan, cover with foil, and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  4. Whisk together beef broth, minced garlic, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and brown mustard in another bowl.
  5. Lay out two large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil; place one rack of ribs on each sheet and create bowls with the foil edges.
  6. Pour marinade evenly over the ribs and seal the packets tightly.
  7. Bake for about 3.5 to 4 hours until tender.
  8. Open packets carefully to drain drippings into a saucepan; simmer to thicken the sauce.
  9. Brush thickened sauce over ribs and broil for an additional 5–7 minutes until caramelized.
