  • 12 Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
  • 810 slices White Bread

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries; set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to the whipped cream cheese and whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in lemon zest to the mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of cream mixture on each slice of bread, then layer strawberries on half of the slices.
  6. Top with more cream mixture and place another slice of bread on top; gently press together.
  7. Score diagonally across each sandwich and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before cutting and serving.
